The OTR 1442 is a compact fiber transmission system designed for the transport of four discrete SDI signals (or 4K / 12G uncompressed) over a single fiber link. The kit includes a fiber transmitter, a fiber receiver, and the necessary power supplies. It offers an ideal solution for transmitting multiple uncompressed SDI streams or 4K signals over distances of up to 20 km (12 miles) without quality loss. Each of the four SDI channels operates fully independently and supports flexible signal formats and bitrates. For 4K transmissions, the signal is split into four separate 3G-SDI links (12G), enabling full 4K resolution at 60fps. The system can also handle any combination of SDI signals with different formats and bitrates. Each channel automatically detects and reclocks SDI signals at 270Mbit/s, 1.5Gbit/s, and 3Gbit/s. The module includes an integrated expansion port, allowing additional SDI channels to be added via the OTR 1441, enabling 8K / 24Gbit/s over a single fiber. Alternatively, the port can integrate bidirectional Ethernet or Serial RS232 data. LED indicators provide status information for channel activity and power supply. An optional 19-inch rack-mount tray is available, capable of housing up to four modules (model RFR 1018).
