The Sonnet Echo Express SEL TB3 PCIe, Desktop, 1 Slot (Black) is the solution for ultralight notebooks and all-in-one desktop computers lacking PCIe slots but featuring Thunderbolt 3 ports. With this expansion, you can connect various Thunderbolt-compatible PCIe cards externally to a computer through the x8 PCIe 3.0 slot. Featuring a Thunderbolt 3 interface offering a PCIe bandwidth of 2750 MB/s, double that of Thunderbolt 2, the Echo Express SEL allows the use of high-performance PCIe cards. With two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, you can either daisy-chain up to five additional Thunderbolt devices or connect a single USB device or up to two 4K or one 5K display. Despite its compact size, the Echo Express SEL provides remarkably quiet cooling thanks to a temperature-controlled fan and automatically powers on and off with the computer to save energy. The robust aluminum enclosure protects the PCIe card while delivering up to 15W to a peripheral device or the host computer. Included in the package are a 0.5m Thunderbolt 3 cable (40Gbps) and a ThunderLok 3 cable retainer to prevent accidental cable disconnections.
