Properties:
The Leitz ELSIE 100 mm T2.1 with LPL Mount is a premium cine lens that belongs to the renowned ELSIE series. This lens series was developed from the ground up to provide filmmakers with excellent full-frame performance while maintaining consistent size and speed. The production and development take place entirely in Germany, ensuring the highest precision and quality. All 13 lenses in the series, including the 100 mm model, feature a T2.1 aperture. The LPL mount offers improved performance and design flexibility thanks to its shallow flange depth, without compromising mechanical or optical properties. The lens exhibits a smooth fall-off in resolution and illumination towards the edges, creating a dimensional pop that gently guides the viewer's eye to the center of the frame. Additionally, in close collaboration with Leica Camera, a new bokeh design was developed, producing soft yet clearly recognizable out-of-focus elements that add a painterly depth to the image.
- The Leitz ELSIE 100 mm offers excellent sharpness and a warm, cinematic look
- The special optical design achieves a smooth transition in focus
- The LPL mount offers high flexibility in production and is optimized for large sensors like full-frame and VistaVision
- Integrated Cooke /i and Arri LDS-2 data protocols transmit essential lens data to the camera
- Developed and manufactured in Germany
