The EOS R5 is a professional mirrorless system camera with an 8K full-frame sensor and internal RAW recording at up to 29.97 frames per second and 4K recording at up to 119.88 frames per second. The camera has a new type of electronic shutter with 20 frames per second or mechanical shutter with 12 frames per second. Recording on CFexpress and SD cards is in 10-bit 4:2:2 Canon Log or 10-bit 4:2:2 HDR PQ. Another new feature is the extended autofocus, which thanks to Deep-Learning reliably and quickly detects dogs, cats and birds. The integrated 5-axis stabilizer works together with Canon RF-mount lenses to ensure wobble-free images.
