The KOMODO-X is a high-end cine camera with a 6K Super 35 mm Global Shutter CMOS sensor for video productions up to 6K at 80p and 4K at 120p. The camera retains the form factor familiar from the KOMODO 6K, but in version X it gets additional features from RED's DMSC3 series. New additions include an integrated battery plate for micro V-mount batteries and optimisation for IP workflows using Ethernet via USB-C. In addition to REDCODE® RAW, the camera also supports Apple ProRes, making it ideal for professional film productions. Increased IP support includes control, video preview, media offloading, as well as 1080p livestream via WiFi and Ethernet, as well as PTP for frame rate synchronisation. 6K video output and R3D live broadcasting over IP is also possible via the separately available RED Connect licence and a 5 Gbps Ethernet adapter.
