The LR-16Z dummy cable powers Sony's Alpha 7S III, Alpha 7R III and Alpha 7R IV from an external power source with D-Tap output for extended run-times. This allows the use of more powerful batteries to be used with the camera. No further regulation is required as the LR-16Z is regulated to the correct voltage the camera requires.
