You can find the embedded XML file in our PDF invoices by clicking on the bracket, as shown in the left image.
Dear customers and suppliers,
according to §14 of the German VAT Act (UStG), all companies based in Germany will be required to receive electronic invoices, known as e-invoices, starting from January 1, 2025.
These are invoices in a structured, machine-readable format that allows for automatic processing. Formats such as XML or ZUGFeRD meet these requirements, while PDF files as e-mail attachments will no longer be sufficient. At BPM, we have been sending electronic invoices upon request for many months now. These already include the embedded XML file that all companies in the B2B sector will need as an invoice starting from January 1, 2025.
What does this mean for you as a customer?
- You have a choice: By default, you will continue to receive a printed paper invoice with your delivery of goods until December 31, 2026.
- However, if you would like to receive only electronic invoices in the future and have not informed us about this yet, please send us a short email at [email protected] with this request and the email address to which your electronic invoices from BPM should be sent in the future.
What does this mean if you are a supplier of BPM?
- Starting January 1, 2025, we will no longer accept paper invoices and kindly ask for invoices to be sent in PDF or electronic invoice format to [email protected].
