Properties:

The PDM 5280 is a flexible 16-channel audio embedder and de-embedder (8 x AES) designed to address various audio requirements in the broadcast sector. The module supports multi-format SDI signals up to 3Gbit/s with automatic format detection. It can be used as a 16-channel embedder, de-embedder, or a combination of both. It extracts 16 audio channels from the incoming SDI signal and processes them in the integrated audio processing stage. In embedder mode, 16 external audio channels are fed into the processing stage. Audio processing includes adjustable gain, phase inversion, and muting for all 32 channels, as well as an optional mono mixdown function for each left and right stereo pair. After processing, the signals are routed to a 32 x 32 output crossbar, allowing flexible assignment of audio signals for embedding and external outputs. The module also offers a programmable output delay of up to 62 frames, adjustable in frames, lines, and pixels. A microprocessor with Flash RAM stores configurations and settings directly on the module. Remote control, status monitoring, and error reporting are available via the LynxCentraal Control System. Note: The use of the LynxCentraal control system is mandatory. When installed in an RFR 5012 chassis, a rack controller (RCT 5023 G) is required.
