The Lynx yellobrik ODT 1510 Multimode Version is a versatile module for extending serial connections (RS232, RS422, or RS485) and two GPI interfaces (General Purpose I/O) over fiber connections with a range of up to 10 km. The module operates in pairs with a second ODT 1510 at a remote location. One RJ45 interface can be configured for serial standards like RS232, RS422, or RS485, while a second RJ45 interface provides two electrical GPI inputs and outputs. Serial communication and GPI signals are transmitted over the same fiber link. The device is fully protocol-agnostic and supports both standard and proprietary protocols with data rates from 300 to 460K baud, which are automatically detected and adjusted. A DIP switch enables precise control of the operation mode, including serial standards, RX/TX crossover, and data direction control (automatic or manual). LEDs indicate activity for the serial and GPI ports. The ODT 1510 also allows mixing different serial standards, such as RS232 on the transmitting side and RS422 on the receiving side. It supports multimode fiber with up to 550 m at 850 nm, utilizing LC/PC duplex connectors for reliable connections. The system is "plug-and-play" and requires no software drivers.
