Properties:

The Lynx yellobrik OBD 1514 E is a matched pair of compact Ethernet switches designed to extend electrical Ethernet signals over long distances. The two switches are connected via a single bidirectional fiber link operating at a constant speed of 1 Gbit/s. The system uses WDM fiber technology in a closed loop configuration, functioning as an Ethernet extender solution. The fiber link supports distances of up to 10 km and provides an error-free optical connection between two locations. Each OBD 1514 E module features two standard RJ45 Ethernet ports. Together, the modules form a 4-port Ethernet switch with two RJ45 ports at each location bridged by fiber. The electrical Ethernet ports can be set for automatic speed detection (10/100/1000) or manually forced to 10 Mbit/s. Additionally, automatic or manual cross-over detection is available, and these settings can be configured via DIP switches. The system is designed exclusively for point-to-point applications and cannot be integrated into CWDM systems.
