Properties:

The Lynx yellobrik OBD 1510 D is a modular system that extends serial connections (RS232, RS422, RS485) and two GPI interfaces (General Purpose Interface) over a single bidirectional fiber optic link (WDM) with a range of up to 10 km. One RJ45 interface can be configured for RS232, RS422, or RS485 standards, while a second RJ45 interface provides two electrical GPI inputs and outputs. Serial communication and GPI signals are transmitted over the same fiber link. The system supports all common and proprietary serial protocols at data rates from 300 to 460K baud with automatic detection and adjustment. An integrated DIP switch allows for the configuration of the serial mode, including the standard, termination, RX/TX crossover function, and data direction control (automatic or manual). LEDs indicate the activity of the serial and GPI connections. The modules allow the combination of different serial standards; for example, an RS232 input on the transmitting module can be converted to an RS422 output on the receiving module. The system uses WDM multiplexing and is suitable only for point-to-point applications.
